How to overcome a problem forcing myself to study?
I am studying electrical engineering but I hate this specialty, so I have a problem forcing myself to study, how can I overcome my hatred in order to succeed in this specialty?
I recently saw a short clip of Sadhguru speaking.
He said there are 3 types of people:
- Idiots - they do things that they don't like doing
- Wise - they do things that they love doing
- Genius - they find a way to love what they have to do
It is harmful to you to continually do something that you find no meaning in doing. You have two choices: change to something else, or do the inner work necessary to love the work you have in front of you.
How to do the work of the Genius?
Dr John DeMartini made me write out 50 benefits of doing anything that I don't love doing. If I just made them up and didn't really believe that they were benefits... he made me write out 100 more. What ways will you improve the quality of your life by doing the work you have to do? How will it give you aspects that you need or desire in your life?
I recommend that you make it interesting for yourself. For example, try to search the topic out of the book and look at the topics at another aspect. I hope it helps
My advice to you is to choose the profession you like, because a job you don't like for a lifetime can become unbearable.
