What books are so good that I would recommend reading them twice? I very rarely read a book twice. Given that I don't want to recommend for others what I wouldn't do myself... I delayed in answering this question.
As I reflect on my reading habits, I discovered that the things that I read again and again are poems. There are very few poems that have really captured me, but those that do, they stay with me forever.
Short, but they capture an idea in such a profound way (or remind me of a specific person) that I go back and reread them often.
The only books that I can honestly say that I have gone back and re-read sections:
- The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, Stephen Covey
- The Rockerfeller Habits, Verne Harnish
- The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding, Al Rie
I have only ever re-read 2 books...
- Dune (there are 8 novels that are part of the full saga)
- East of Eden
I'd love to hear other's inputs on this... what are the books that are worth re-reading?
