| Hi Sheila, My own view about your comment: I think that leadership is a WAy to serve others. I personally try to make my team shine as much as possible, making myself questions such as: - what are their motivations and what can I do to make them achievable? - what can I do to make myself a better example for them? - what tools I can give them so they can do their job more efficiently? - are they in the right place working in my Area/team? Sometimes being a good leader mean that you have to let go one for your best employees to ensure that they keep growing ... | |||||

| After 25 years in corporate jobs at 54 now I am freelancing as a consultant. My focus Area is family business and its governance. As a starter it is really difficult for me to get clients. I just got one client. So you may say my struggle - is well, to get new clients. And my big question - how to be more effective in communicating to get clients interested in my work. | |||||

| Some ideas on how to promote your own content (somewhat) effectively: Run a contest Create series of videos/posts (Example Star WArs Productivity) Make playlists of your youtube videos Cross promote - who has a similar size/type of audience to you... you promote their content, they promote yours Capture emails so you control distribution of new videos (I use Aweber and offer some online courses) Ask friends to comment on your posts/videos... it is a lot easier to be comment #2... few people are willing to be comment #1 Re-promote your older successful vide ... | |||||

| I am an early retiree at 60. I have so many ideas and interests - I would love to write, and I have far too many starts so I end up scattering all my time around. I also have a choice on what to do for work, or whether to pursue some formal education in an Area, or whether to give away all my belongings to go volunteer somewhere in Africa 🙂 It does not help that I am single and have no one close enough to give me much input. What is your idea of some good strategies to hone down all my ideas and interests into one or two that I can actually manage and pursue well? | |||||

| Dear Conor, how are you? You gave me classes at IESE. I've been working as sales manager, practicing regularly what you taught me when giving presentations or closing deals. There is a skill that I would like to develop: making people enthusiastic about an idea. Make them believe in me, rather than in a product that I sell. Weakness: I'm introvert (though not shy).
